India

Ancient stories in every stone

Overview

The subcontinent that contains multitudes — from Mughal grandeur to jungle lodges, from sacred rivers to painted deserts.

India defies summary. It is a civilisation before it is a country, a feeling before it is a place. Victoria Destinations has operated here for over thirty years, which means we know where the ordinary tourist ends and the real India begins. We take you to the palaces that aren't yet hotels, the villages where the welcome is genuine, the temples before the crowds arrive.

Highlights

The Golden Triangle

Delhi's layered history, Agra's marble perfection, Jaipur's painted palaces — the classic circuit done unhurriedly, with private access to Fort interiors closed to general visitors.

Rajasthan's Desert Palaces

Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer — lake palaces turned private hotels, blue city rooftops, and a night in a tented camp where stars outnumber grains of sand.

Kerala Backwaters

A private kettuvallam (rice barge) through a network of canals, lagoons, and lakes that outsiders rarely see. The pace is the journey.

Varanasi at Dawn

The oldest continuously inhabited city on earth. A private boat on the Ganges at first light, watching the world's most ancient ritual unfold on the ghats.
